Suggested use for Dichroic Alchemy Strips:

•Attach punty to end of a strip of dichro, heat dichro on the glass side – not the dichro side.

•Take 6 or 7mm clear or dark colored rod that heats up easily.

•Rake clear or colored glass onto the back of the strip being careful not to let the flame touch the dichro.

•Use a high oxy flame to encase work out in the flare where the flame is cooler.

•Attach punty to other side and stretch dichro only a little or none at all.

•The dichro is now ready to use for inside out design, cane builds, or outside design.

Testimonials:

I would like to start off by saying thank you for your wonderful video.
I have only just begun to learn the ways of glass and have yet to play with
the dichro magic. By watching your video first it has alowed me a chance to see what i'd be getting into without wasting valuable money and torch time.
Thnak you again and keep up the beautiful work.

Jeff

I love your starship/tical. I make galaxy marbles and pendants to wear. Your product are all I use and I love it. I bought your video and I especially liked the part where you talked about the different characteristics of the starship. Can't wait to see some of the new products you're working on.

Introduction to the New Age of Flameworking Video

Dichroic Alchemy-Volume I

This is a finely crafted intro to Dichroic Alchemy which features a number of artists working dichroic in their own styles. The property of the glass to sparkle grabs the attention of the viewer right away, and the montages of beautiful pieces, set against stationary and moving backgrounds, keeps one's attention sharply focused.

With a run down of tools, the location of the sweet spot on a number of different torches, and photography from a number of different angles, this film does a great job of introducing the Dichroic Alchemy line of products. Each section is preceded by a listing of the glass and tools used in the demo. the first section on using the images talks the viewer through the process, carefully pointing out how to manipulate the surrounding glass so as not to distort the image. With this basic information safely tucked away, each following section introduces and artist, their specialty, and then simply lets the viewer watch and learn. The benefit is that one can concentrate solely on the visual process of creating each piece, picking up styles and ideas to apply to their own work.

The upbeat music, glowing glass, and varying artists and techniques makes this video a must have for all those who use or want to use dichro.

Dichroic Alchemy's new video on how to use dichroic boro answers just about every dichroic question an artist may have. The video is much more than an informational tape. It easily transitions into the teaching of techniques that will add to anyone's flameworking art.

With great footage and explanation of Dichroic Encasement, Image Marbles, Cane Building, Montage, Dichroic Tube making using, Lattachino and Galaxy Marbles, I was left with only one question.................
Why didn't I buy Dichro at the same time as the video?

I was excited about jumping on the torch and melt some dichro!

This is a well timed video for anyone who is excited about working in dichroic on borosilicate glass. I am a long time user and enthusiast for the sparkle of dichroic glass. This new video by Dichroic Alchemy is packed full of useful information and images to help the interested torch workers out there in glassland to jump in and successfully
integrate the use of dichroic colors and laser cut images into their work.

The video uses a number of different borosilicate dichroic artist to do the different demos to give the viewer the opportunity to see the studio set ups of each artist. This wonderful occurrence gives the viewer a chance to see how other working torch artist arrange their studios and the tools that they use while working borosilicate dichroic.

While viewing this video, it is clearly shown how differently
borosilicate dichroic is worked in comparison to regular clear or colored borosilicate. If a torch artist is to work successfully in the medium of borosilicate dichroic, the directions given in this video will be of great help in minimizing unsuccessful attempts at incorporating
borosilicate dichroic into their work.

I highly recommend this video to other torch artists and am
thrilled with the huge leaps in creativity that I am seeing in the borosilicate glass art community. It is great to see such generous sharing of information among individuals involved in borosilicate glass art as well as the torch working community in general. Keep up the good work!
